Convert selected Time Range

1.Make sure the DVD-disc is inserted in the first DVD-drive.

 

2.Run Easy DVD Ripper & Converter.

 

3.Click on the right arrow on the "Convert Main Title" button on the Start Page, from the displayed menu, select the desired conversion mode (i.e. Main Title, All Titles, Chapter Splitting, or Chapter Merging).

 

4.Select the Title/Chapter to convert by checking the checkboxes next to it in the Tree window on the left.

 

5.For each Title/Chapter that is checked, from the Settings tab please repeat the following:

 

a.From the Settings tab change the Mode to Time Range. The Preview tab will automatically be shown.

 

b.The Preview Seek bar has extra controls to help you select the Range to convert. Move the left marker to point to the start of the Time Range and move the right marker to point to the end of the Time Range. It might be much easier to do this while the video is Paused. After immediately moving any of the two markers you may use the Right or Left Arrow Keys on your keyboard to set the marker with a very high precision.

 

c.Click on the Settings tab and select the desired Output Format: iPod Mpeg-4 H.264/AVC (High Quality), iPod Mpeg-4 SP (High Quality), iPod Mpeg-4 H.264/AVC, iPod Mpeg-4 SP, PSP Mpeg-4 SP, AVI, VCD, or SVCD. >> Which format should I choose?

 

d.Enter an Output Filename.

 

e.The following settings are optional, you can change them only if you need. Some settings are shown only when other specific settings are selected (for example some Output Format may show extra settings).

 

i.Split Size - this sets the maximum output file size
ii.Subtitle - select an input subtitle
iii.Quality - this sets the quality of the encoding, the speed of the conversion is dramatically affected by this setting
iv.Video Bitrate - the higher the bitrate, the larger the output filesize and almost always higher quality output
v.Video Frame-Rate - the frame-rate is the number of video frames per second. Basically, this shouldn't be changed
vi.Source Aspect Ratio - by changing this setting, you override the source-specified video aspect ratio
vii.Deinterlace - if unsure leave the default option
viii.Resolution - the output video dimensions in pixels
ix.Crop Preset - crop the source video frame to the selected aspect ratio
x.Audio Bitrate - the higher the bitrate, the larger the output filesize and almost always higher quality output
xi.Audio Track - select an input audio track
xii.Audio Channels
xiii.PSP and iPod Options - change the Media Title, Artist, and etc. information for the video file
xiv.AVI Options - select a Video Codec and an Audio Codec

 

6.Click on the Next button (the Right Arrow) to proceed, then Click on the GO button to start converting!
