Which output format should I choose? We recommend "iPod Mpeg-4 H.264/AVC (High Quality)" or "iPod Mpeg-4 SP (High Quality)" for iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV, unless you have old version of iPod (you may update your iPod's firmware version for supporting these formats). Mpeg-4 SP is always faster than Mpeg-4 H.264/AVC format. For a given bitrate, Mpeg-4 SP will give lower quality than Mpeg-4 H.264/AVC (that is, for the same file-size, SP will be lower quality). For PSP, please choose "PSP Mpeg-4 SP". For more details, please check this.

From the Control Panel, double-click System, then from the Device Manager tab, under CD/DVD ROM double-click the DVD-device where your DVD is inserted. In the Settings tab you should find a check-box name DMA, toggling the state might help (i.e. Enable it if it is disabled, and Disable it if it is enabled.) If this doesn't help or you get problems on other software, then please remember to set these changes back.

The audio is Out of Sync, what's wrong with it? In all output formats Audio and Video are synchronized based on data provided in the source DVD. In some rare cases there might be slight difference in the Audio/Video timing. This might be noticed in conversation scenes and scenes with sudden sounds, such as firing a gun or an explosion. Although most DVD's provide the exact information for perfect synchronization, some don't. Even worse is when some DVD's compensate for some delay that some set-top systems suffer from.
Since Easy Video Convert complies with the DVD specifications, it will produce a 100% synchronized output when the source DVD provides accurate information. Nonetheless, some rare DVD's were found to report inaccurate information at some random point within the main movie. Although unnoticeable, these disks will produce output files that have a slight Audio/Video delay.
How much disk space do I need to store the output files? The output files may have different sizes, based on the user setting and options. The user is recommended to have at least 2GB (2000MB) of free space on any hard disk.
How long does it take to convert a DVD movie? Converting Audio and Video is CPU intensive. On the fastest machines, the conversion can take hours (depending on the video length, settings and the hardware). A minimum of 500MHz Intel PIII or AMD Athlon or compatible is required. PIV or AthlonXP at 1500MHz or more is recommended. The program is compatible with AMD-64 and Intel-EMT64. Note: The process does not require your constant attention, so you can start the process before you go to bed or while you're at work.
Some subtitles are missing, why is that? In some very rare cases some of the subtitles might get very little on-screen time that it's hard to read them or might be skipped altogether.
After the conversion completed, why can't I convert again? In certain cases, some DVD drives do not change back to the "Ready" state after it had processed large amounts of data (DVD). If that happens the computer needs to be restarted before you can convert again.
Sometimes I get an autorun installation window after I inserted my DVD movie, should I install it? These programs are DVD software viewers that often come on DVD movie discs, and will try to install themselves every time you watch a movie on your computer. You are not recommended to install these viewers. They are poor quality viewers and we suggest that you use WinDVD or PowerDVD.
Why can't I use the DVD drives installed in the computer? You may not have security rights to use the DVD drives. To give access rights to a non-administrative user, do the following: 1) Open 'Control Panel' and click on 'Administrative Tools'. 2) Double click on 'Local Security Policy'. 3) Double click on 'Security Options'. 4) Double click on 'Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on users only'. 5) Click on Enabled.
